Avonmore Community Playground Renovation
The Avonmore Playground Committee is excited to announce that planning is well underway for a new spray deck and playground for Avonmore Park! To date we have completed the community needs assessment, had preliminary meetings with City of Edmonton staff to develop concept drawings for the playground, and have chosen a spray deck supplier. We have also started fund raising. There are many grants available to help us in our fund raising efforts, and we will be working hard to raise money to make this a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy.
Avonmore Playground Fundraising:
Fund raising for the spray deck and playground is now in full force!
The committee would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported our recent fundraisers and for all the generous donations we have received to date. Our goal is to raise $175,000 for the spray deck and playground. Help us meet that goal by coming out to or supporting one of our various fundraisers.
Our current fundraisers include:
Avonmore Playground Project with Mabel’s Labels!
Mabel’s Labels have a full offering for all of your labeling needs
including clothing labels, microwave and dishwasher safe container labels, electronics labels, bag tags, shoe labels, ID wristbands, allergy alert labels, household items, canister and spice labels, garbage bin labels, and even personalized stationery products.
All labels are dishwasher, microwave, and laundry safe and UV resistant. They do not fade, peel or rub off!

Donate Your Bottles For the Playground!
The Avonmore Playground Committee is joining with our community partner, Roper Road Bottle Depot (5618 – 54 Street), to raise funds for our playground. Roper Road Bottle Depot is accepting bottle donations on behalf of the Avonmore Playground Upgrade Project.
When you return your bottles/cans, please consider donating all or a portion of your return to our playground project!
Please tell them these bottles are for Avonmore Playground Fundraising & Roper Bottle Depot will keep track of these donations for us. Thank-you for your support!
Donate To Play Campaign
Thank you to all who have donated or mentioned you would consider donating, and took our "Donate to Play" donation form.
The "Donate to Play" fundraising campaign enables the Avonmore Park Committee to apply for a dollar matching Community Spirit grant. This means that a $50 donation doubles in value to $100! If you are considering donating, please do not delay – every dollar raised through the "Donate to Play" campaign will count towards this strategic grant!
If we are unable to talk to you directly, you can always send a donation cheque payable to the City of Edmonton to:
The City of Edmonton
Attn: Susan Dack
Millcreek Site
221 Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre
P.O. Box 2359

Please include Project #PP10-0145 on the cheque. All donations over $25 will receive a tax receipt from the City of Edmonton.
